  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Zeb,

HaHaHaHa, I will consider that as a great compliment! Yeah, "Ju Gad Et Mane!!"

It is but careful what you wish for. Years ago Phil was just a simple RED User. Now he carries the full weight of the Brand upon his sturdy shoulders 24/7 ;-)

Zeb,

Well I say bring it on! I workout three days a week, HaHaHaHa

Thots?

Shot in Standard Mode, 1600iso, Otus 28mm using aperture to control light input

Aaron,

And green was the first thing I went to try to "correct out". My biggest decisions when correcting footage is how much of what I am seeing is a desired look based on the current lighting conditions and how much is a undesirable outcome of a specific lighting situation. How much to leave in and how much to take out.

Sabovic,

I like your representation of the darker colors in your grade.

Zeb,

You opened up the shadows very well without inducing hardly any noise into your image. I believe you've got the IPP2 thing kicked in the ass.

Ha! So ETTR, ISO1600 in Standard Mode seems safe and produces some pretty crazy DR. On this scene it took all of the 1.4 the Otus had and 24fps to get there. Was hoping for F8 @96fps ;-)

I know RED has their technical and production issues, but seem to be heading in the right direction
