Up for sale is a Gearnex version 2, camera head with all accessories and case.

Our business once was a vendor for gearnex so we bought a unit for demo use. Unfortunately, the guy that was in charge of the project was an aspiring DP but he quit about a week later leaving us with a very pristine Gearnex head. It has been used very lightly, for demo purposes only, and has only had about a half a dozen cameras on it. Not being a camera rental house, all of our gear is mostly grip/lighting so we don't have a need for camera gear.

As you may or may not know, the Gearnex was designed for digital cameras like the Alexa, RED's, and as small as DSLR's.

We are asking $6,000 for the entire unit, retail price is $7,500. It comes with:

GearNex Gear Head
Mounting Base (Mitchell, 100mm Ball, and 150mm Ball)
Wheeled hard case with pull out tray
Two 6" hand wheels with handles
Lock down nut and all thread
Eyepiece adapter
Maintenance Kit
Tool Kit
Training Kit & DVD
User Manual

That's great, but as far as I can tell, Gearnex is out of business. If I did buy this, how could I ever get service or replacement parts?

What is the weight range for this gear?

Will,

Not sure what the exact weight range of the head is, but we do know that it can hold an Alexa with a lens.

Maximum load 75 lbs (34 kg); Recommended load 50 lbs (22.7 kg)

Hmm, Buy this send it to Mark Roberts, let them add detatchable stepping motors with a little FLARE box and zoom and focus motors and you got a heavy duty / super precise Moco head... Add a tripod a little dolly and a track motor. Then you got something far better than the scorpio head and such, for a lot less... To many toys, to little time and to much money allready spent for my part...

damn, this is a great offer but would probably cost a fortune shipping this baby to australia :/

Probably would. Just a guesstimation on the pelican size and the weight of the package this is what I calculated to Sydney (not sure how accurate it is as I don't know his actual weight and size):

I'd like to demo a head like this in Los Angeles, where are you located?

Sorry to disappoint you guys but I have a buyer lined up. I'll let you guys know either way if it works out with him.

Just in case you want to know the shipping weight of a Gearnex in the event that you end up buying one in the future...the pelican with everything in it is estimated around 65lbs.

Sorry Redusers, but the Gearnex has sold. Thanks for your interest.
