  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FTP: (7) Free EPIC 300fps R3D files - *Limited Time

They will be excellent to play with on REDCINE-X and Premiere Pro. I need to upgrade CS4 to CS5.5 but I'll do the 30 day trial for now. Those files will be very useful to get me acclimated to RED. Thanks!

Michael,

First of all - thanks for the R3D files.
I have a question: I know these files were recorded at 300fps. When I play them in RedCine-X, they all play at 23.976fps.
What if I wanna play them back at a different FPS (25, 30, 60). Is that possible?
I tried changing the 23.976fps setting, which is embedded in the clips' metadata, but RCX doesn't let me change it.

Hi Eric,

As far as we know, there is no way to change the playback speed in RCX. If there is, hopefully someone else will comment. You can optionally export at your desired frame rate.

Hi Eric,

As far as I know you cannot change the playback speed because of it being locked into the project frame rate when setting up the camera. Because it is electronically captured at that specific framerate, this is no way you can "add" more frames to the playback speed through RC-X.
