  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I wanted to ask a simple question from where i can buy Redone camera and accessories in India.
Or do i have to buy everything from redone store.

Can you guys just hire some 24x7 online chat help or sales representative so that it dosent become a complete headache . Rather it is leading to confusion and ppl are just ripping of your potential clients because a client dosent have a damn clue on where to get a camera from . SO the greatest offer i am currently getting in india is a used redone at $30000 body only.

SO can you guys from red sales let me know that if i (from india) can buy online and what will be additional shipping and excise duty i have to pay, and do i have to order online , it says deposit which is 10% so what is the procedure to buy this highly mysterious camera with mysterium x sensor .

I am going nuts i need to get it before 20th april. Please reply sir.

There is nothing mysterious about this camera and it's procurement process. Just order online and clear it through Customs (you could use a clearing agent if you wish).
That said I doubt it you will be able to land a full setup before April 20th, given the backorder status of some of the items.

Maybe you could start a company and web site and become the RED Camera expert in India. hmm George i couldnt make out if it was a joke. But coming back to the point if there is anyone from India who has bought online and has paid the duty fee i would just like to know what was the duty fee. Any clearing agent contact would be much appericiated. And lastly george, if you can tell, if i buy online from the store, it just sums up to 10% upfront. So when i have to pay the rest of the amount. I mean even if i place an order now, in some items i cannot select full payment. So how will i be charged rest of the money and probably when?
 
KETCH is the best and you are better off buying a used kit right now because you will get more accessories for less money than in the RED STORE.

Hi Mansh,
First you book RED camera online with 10% deposit. Create an order, RED will send you an invoice. If all the units you selected in stock RED will ask you to pay full ammount by wire and they will send you wire details. The Customs and Central Excise issue: Be ready to about 32% that includes all charges on the total invoice value (That is inclusive the fright charges- Yes it is ridiculous, but true you have to pay customs duty even on fright charges.
