So here's a weird one- does any one know the frequencies of the RED fan at it's various speeds- particularly WAAAAYYYYYY back in the b12 days?

We're making good progress here, curious is anyone else hit this back in the early days of 2008 ;-)

Was variable back then, but seemed to jump to specific RPMs as opposed to continuously variable.
 
Paul, this won't be very helpful as I'm sure you've tried this, but if you can get a piece of footage with the offending fan noise in it and send it to Sound Track Pro, then open it in the frequency spectrum viewer, you'll have a pretty accurate image of the frequency.

I don't have any early 2008 footage lying around...
 
Red team should be able to tell you if you called them. They may have to dig some stuff up and call you back, but the speeds should be somewhere in their documents. Or at least the different voltages fed to the fan. They would need the specific build though. Just my 0.02. REM rocks.
