  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

FOR SALE : Super speeds - freshly serviced

Sorry Fredrik,
Stuart is correct.
These are MkI Super Speeds.
The "thin barrel, bayonet mount" lenses are known as B-Speeds.
These lenses are excellent regardless of their nomenclature.
The whole Mk this Mk that, is not something that Zeiss ever supported.
It's just names that were given to the sets over time.
But I assure you, these are MkI Super Speeds

Matt,

I'm still hearing East Coast Pro's refer to the T1.4 lenses as "Mk. I". I really think it's an East Coast - West Coast thing (like the Rap War, but hopefully without any AK's getting used).

Do you think you, I and Stuart could agree on a new naming convention so we can avoid this argument going on forever? I know it's 2 against 1, but the guys at ARRI Blauvelt call them Mk. I so I can skew the voting if need be.

If we don't come up with a solution for this, we are going to have to keep answering this same question till we are blue in the face. And we've got more important things to do.

Hope you guys are well.

I'm really sorry to say that there are more players on the market then you 3  Although I can say it's only the West Coast that refers to them as MK I's.

And guys please stop referring to me in this war now. I'm over this several posts ago and those lenses have found a very nice little home for them. Although if you guys would have seen them you would have drooled. They look brand spanking new.

where is an international arbitrator when you need one
