For Sale: Shake 4 Software

[Paul Cronin]

I have Shake 4 software with all original paperwork and box to sell. I loaded the software on my machine and have now uninstalled. I never took the time to learn the software or even use it. This has been sitting on the shelf for over a year.

Unfortunately Shake is a piece of dead software... I think you will find it hard to find an individual willing to invest in it as there will be no upgrades and only a few holdout fx houses with large site licenses still even use it.

Why make negative comments in the for sale forum. I don’t see what that accomplishes. Some editors still use Shake 4.

Incredibly powerfull software! Still use it.
A bit hard to learn, but not as hard as it seems at first look.

Thanks Jochen I agree it is great software and a lot of people still use it.

[hunterrichards]

I use it all the time- love it.

[Michael Male]

We use it all the time as well. (We are a small production company doing natural history documentaries.) Nice price too.

All the Best,

Michael

Shake is still widely used in the industry. It's not supported by Apple anymore but hardly dead.

Apart from this it's a great software to learn the concept of compositing. The manual is very comprehensive and entertaining, the cook book is legendary. Its successor Nuke is an investment that calls for a meaningful ROI. Shake with the manual for 0,25k surely is not. But its a great investment for anyone who wants to understand how compositing works and as a give-away you get a very good post tool.
