  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For Sale: FULL RED ONE kit WITH Lens!

John,

You've posted your camera on the ebay ad as "unexecuted".
Given that someone else has pointed out (in this thread) that the stage options for execution have expired , and you've still posted this on the ebay ad, indicates as to your intention.
The notion that you are unaware of the stage options and possible execution (and subsequent increased value of the camera) has expired along with the stage deadline. You are misleading people.

You know that there is no possibility to 'execute' this camera with Red.
This is pretty close to false advertising.

Please change the ebay posting so that uninformed bidders know what they are getting into.

Thanks

Hi Tony,

The ad was placed some time ago. People are bidding on an incredible camera package. The pictures clearly show what people are about to get their hands on!

John

John, the ad was placed a week ago. You can easily edit it. You are claiming the camera is unexecuted. That is a complete misrepresentation. It is disqualified since the stages have expired to trade the camera in

John

Okay so I just read the ebay ad in more detail. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayIS...9116236#ht_920wt_1398&clk_rvr_id=297612909555
It reads the following:

"Don't forget- this camera has NOT been executed, and is therefor eligible for Epic-X upgrade - or $17,000 off Epic. It's win win! "

I take back what I said about potential misrepresentation etc.

You're out and out committing fraud. No question about it.

For those getting tricked into this deal who have no clue about stages and deadlines i feel bad.

I do agree you are selling a great complete package but the problem is your misleading listing. As a member of the eBay community and selling several high priced items i know for a fact you can edit your listing up until the last 24hrs of the auction close.

If you are a person of honesty and integrity you will adjust the listing to correct your error. Otherwise Anthony is right and you are committing fraud therefor instantly making you a very unrespectable Reduser community member who will likely be banned.

Please do whatever you can to adjust the listing. No excuse can help the situation.

my apologies! Maybe people should have had their offers in quicker!

Right. It's someone else's fault that you posted an ad on December the 13th advertising for a stage upgrade that expired on Dec 1st.

Further, although you took the time to put up three different posts in response, you haven't changed the ad as of the time of this post.

Cut the shit John, and change the ad now. You make us all look bad with this kind of misrepresentation.

An honest mistake made by my not understanding of the stages. Absolutely no need to be rude. eBay has been amended as soon as I'd had it pointed out. People are bidding on a fabulous full RED kit!

Best of luck!

I filed a complaint with eBay for your auction. You do not list whether it is M or MX, and you state multiple times that the camera is non-executed. Your auction amendment on 12/18 is not good enough, and people who bid before will probably not see it. People bid thinking there was a possible upgrade path, and some probably assume it's an MX. While your misleading advertising may not be illegal, it's disingenuous at best.

To report a violation, click "report item" about halfway down the page on the right side. I suggest anyone who feels the same way as I do about John's false advertising do the same. As someone who has sold a ton of gear on eBay and Reduser, I find sellers like this very troubling, and they make it harder to do business on honest sites like this in the future.

Thanks to everyone for paying such attention to my advert. It's really great to have so many people looking so closely. I really appreciate everyone's questions so far about the camera - they're welcome, and keep them coming!
