  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

For Sale: FULL RED ONE kit WITH Lens!

I filed a complaint with eBay for your auction. You do not list whether it is M or MX, and you state multiple times that the camera is non-executed. Your auction amendment on 12/18 is not good enough, and people who bid before will probably not see it. People bid thinking there was a possible upgrade path, and some probably assume it's an MX. While your misleading advertising may not be illegal, it's disingenuous at best.

To report a violation, click "report item" about halfway down the page on the right side. I suggest anyone who feels the same way as I do about John's false advertising do the same. As someone who has sold a ton of gear on eBay and Reduser, I find sellers like this very troubling, and they make it harder to do business on honest sites like this in the future.

+1. Thank you Alex. You are correct.

John is, at best, totally disingenuous. He is totally misrepresenting the camera in the ad on numerous occasions.
He was asked in this thread by various people to edit the ad, and instead just added a caveat into the "seller added info" section.

And that, frankly, is horseshit.

Not addressing genuine concerns and gabbing on about 15000 views and "great thanks guys" isn't going to work here.
This thread has 15000 views because people are wondering what the hell is going on that would generate this many posts on a simple sale of a camera.
I'd imagine the same thing is happening with the ebay ad.

Guess what they're going to find out, John Heaney, of Manchester, U.K....

That you're dishonest.

So by all means post again about how great everything is on a river in Egypt.

Good luck selling things on this forum.

EDIT: Free bump. You're welcome.

And thanks for all the views, and all the very helpful questions I've been asked about my RED One camera auction. The people who are interested in buying know exactly what they'll get, which is a fabulous RED One camera, very well cared for, in great condition, with TONNES of extras. It will make the winning bidder VERY happy. I continue to welcome all the enthusiastic genuine questions.

Good luck guys!

John
