FoolControl In-Depth Overview / Review - At The Bench EP|2

Mikael,

Are there any resources or instructions that would outline the procedure for using a router and infrastructure mode with a Weapon and an IOS device? Thank you.

Hi Tom

the RED WEAPON DSMC manual has 2 well written pages that should help you configure your camera on an infrastructure network (p. 97) :

http://s3.amazonaws.com/red_3/downl...ON/DSMC_Operation_Guide_WEAPON_v6.1_Rev-T.pdf

You basically connect the camera wifi to an existing wifi router and join the iOS device to that same network.
If you need any further help or to set up external IP access (port forwarding) you can get in touch here or by email.

Mikael

Upcoming in next week's upgrade : thumbnails in playback, advanced RED setting page, menu redesign and more... (some of those features still requires running on beta camera fw for now).

Two questions:
-Is there the option to format the mini mag through the Foolcontrol app?
-Could this app be used in a yatch in the middle of the sea without wifi or 3/4g connectivity?

Yes can format cards via camera tree menu in foolcontrol if needed.

Yes foolcontrol can be used anywhere with a dsmc2 camera or dsmc1 camera + wifi add on.
Camera can create it's own network instead of joining an existing one...
