  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

focus assist: Make it better

We will fiddle with it.. but the good thing about it being thin is that on high detailed scenes everything doesnt turn to mush.. and you can see more clearly when things really pop into focus.

Yeah, I got that - and is the reason I didn't start making suggestions/assumptions as to how it should be fixed; you've got another puzzle on your hands. I'm just not sure that there's a middle ground where you can offer the customizable parameters people seem to need in EVERY facet of this camera, and yet not result in an undue amount of code tweaking on the backend. I'm sure whatever you guys come up with will be sweet.

And are you perpetually tethered to your computer man? Good god you guys are crazy. I guess I kinda do the same too though.

I'd settle for brighter instead of thicker.

ok, as this is reduser - now everybody wants to have it brighter AND thicker (with remote control) and someone has to build an optical filter which allows colorblind folks to see the actual color as accessory.

Nope, Laguun, not exactly...

Jarred, as it appears to me, I'd summarize as follows:

we (read: ...the colorblind...) want to select a custom color to be used.

I may see the red if there would be no image at all (imagine, a red sobel filter outline for sharp edges to see, no image under it, thats it). Interesting alternative?

So I'd say:

1. selectable color (R, G, B at least)
2. adjustable gamma for the color overlay (to make it brighter on desire)
3. 1:1 zoom function, so we see the lines thick enough WITHOUT distorting the overall image
4. (and probably not really necessary if 1, 2 and 3 are done) selectable overlay line thickness. I am currently not sure if you can trigger the filter to produce thicker lines easy.

What do you think?
