Okay, I tend to be fairly critical of RED. I own a camera, and I love it a lot, but I don't mind calling bullshit when I see it. I presume most of you that tolerate my posts here also know I'm a big advocate for Linux, and such nonsense. So, when I started hearing about all the FLUT™™™ stuff, I was like, "yeah, okay, well, I'd love to check it out, but I'm too damn lazy to install an updated version of REDCINE-X on my MBP, so I'll wait for the SDK update..."

Well, Piranha/ANT now has FLUT™™™/Shadow support. And I am FLUT™™™TING IMPRESSED! This is some SERIOUSLY COOL SHIT! Seriously. In my pathetic attempts at coloring footage, I think I've found a new best friend. What used to take me minutes fidgeting with a dozen controls (or control points on graphs, etc) for a single shot, I can now do with much better results, with a third less the controls, and one-tenth the time.

Jim, Jarred, Graeme, Deanan, Rob, and the rest of the tech-team, you make me proud.

Now, excuse me, I need to go FLUT™™™ around with some of my old footage.

For all us who reside outside the United States of America, the "Bomb" EVF and anything with Gun or rifle in the name will certainly cause issues in shipping. I personally love the names, but I rather not have "men on horse back" stop in for a chat because I ordered 12 "Bomb" EVFs. Maybe a slight name change or short form for those of us who deal with customs.
