Flare or High contrast causes sensor split glitch

I'm getting deja vu about the image sensor problems with the Panavision Genesis: in 2006, WB spent hundreds of thousands of dollars fixing visible lines between the chips on high-contrast material from Superman Returns. I know one of the VFX artist who spent 4-5 months on that project, and there was a whole team of people racing to do all the fixes.
I hope Red can solve this problem. Has anybody ever seen this with the Alexa LF? It's the first I've heard of it.

The conversation yesterday for a project went like this
-What is with this line artifact business?
Under rare conditions a vertical artifact appears in the image center.
-Can you guarantee we don't create that rare condition?
No.
-Lets go with the LF and Phantom then.
I like the LF and the Phantom, but not being able to use the camera I purchased on real projects is starting to tick me off.
Red needs to post something on RED.COM that explains the problem and what they are doing to fix it. Now.
ANYONE who has a Raptor can demonstrate the problem.
In a normal lit room, no lens, take the rf port cap off, point at a lit white wall - wave your fingers in front to create motion = vertical center line artifact
Do the same thing on Monstro = No line
do the same thing on mini LF = no line
do the same thing on Alexa 65 (3 seams) = no line
Using the mini LF and Monstro since they were both available, I've never had this issue. There is no mention of anyone having this problem with Monstro on reduser - and you know someone would have. I asked around about experience with the LF and Mini LF, one person said that he had a problem with the mini lf - not a line, but a noticeable exposure shift between halves - but he was shooting iso 3200 in a hot/humid rain forest - the mini went back to arri and confirmed it was a hardware failure, replaced something, no line after that.
this all split sensors do this response is not ok, as demonstrated by the simple test above.
