Hi there, my name is Peter Gardiner - I'm the brother of Tony who started this thread. I just wanted to provide an update on our dealings with FJS.

I am only posting this on a public forum in the hope to inspire some action on FJS’s behalf. I feel hugely taken advantage of given our patience to date and our relative geographic isolation to the FJS Team.

We are currently owed USD41,806.77 from FJS International, from sales of equipment dating back from November 2015.

We first engaged FJS from recommendations and word of mouth. They successfully sold a RED Dragon Kit for us mid-2015 - but then, unfortunately, things turned sour. Communication became infrequent, and emails & phone calls were not returned. It grew to a stage where we became so concerned we had to hire a private investigator to learn what was going on.

We then found out that the following gear (totalling USD64,750.00 in value) brokered with them had been sold without our knowledge:

- Zeiss mk2 Super Speeds in November 2015.
- RED One MX Kit in February 2016.
- RED Lens Kit in March 2016.

We also found out through the private investigator that FJS had been a victim of financial fraud, and it’s owner of poor health. And to FJS’s credit they have:

- Since restored communication
- Relinquished all commissions on the gear sold
- Have agreed to pay interest of 5% pa until the money is paid back
- Have paid USD27,000 back to date

However, they have been unable to provide a clear indication of when or how they will be able to pay the remainder of the money back. I have repeatedly requested for a payment plan they can afford to be put forward, but they have not done so.

I can sympathise with small businesses running into hard times, but it has now been 20 months with only vague promises.

I look forward to hopefully updating this posting with good news shortly.

Sadly, I have no update on FJS International.

Communication once again has broken down. All I can do know is warn others of working with them.

I don't wish ill on anyone - but it is troubling that they can provide no updates and signifigant payments and still be trading.

To me, this is fast changing the conversation from "money owed" to "money stolen"

Again - I'll post updates about FJS as soon as I have them.

Bringing our dealings with FJS International have unfortunately seemed to have the opposite effect as to what I was hoping.

The little communciation we have had has now stopped. Again, all I have asked from FJS is a firm plan of how they intend to pay back the money owed. Something they have not been able to provide - despite still trading.

This matter is still unresolved as of 14/08/17 and the amount owing as per agreed previously with FJS International is now USD41,980.97.

Again - I'll continue to post updates about FJS Internation as soon as I have them. And I give them every opportunity to make good on the debt owed.

Good to know from some one who directly got involve with FJS brokerage.

Hope FJS can soon pay their debt to you.

Thanks

Sadly there is little to update on this post. FJS International has not made any further payments, more provided us with a plan on how they can pay back their debt.

I had been more patient with FJS International this past couple of weeks I understand they could have faced disruption in the wake of Irma.

FJS International's biggest problem with us is we did not provide a mechanism that allows for small but regular payments without excessive international fees. I have since set this up - yet we have no payments, nor indications of what these small and regular payments will be.

I have also provided them what I believe to be a fair solution which is to pay off the now USD42,155.89 debt over one year (roughly $3,600 per month). I believe this is more than compassionate given that this dates back to November 2015. I have not had any response to this offer.

As mentioned, personally I feel sorry for FJS International and the hard times they face. They have been victims of financial fraud and poor health - but more than enough time has passed for them to make good on their debt owed. I feel remarkably taken advantage off given our previous goodwill and geographic isolation.

There is still no update to be made in my dealings with FJS International.

There is now no communication and no indication of how they intend to pay us back. Nor have they responded to my suggestion of a payment plan as outlined above.

I hate airing dirty laundry online - but I am owed such a significant amount of money, with little power to hold FJS International accountable. All this could have been avoided on their behalf had they just agreed to a payment plan (which I believe was more than generous).

This feels like a conversation that fast shifting from "money owed" to "money stolen" - as there is no other way to describe it. FJS International is still trading - which is why I have held hope that they could meet the payment plan set up.

Thanks David.

Sadly there is no update. We've been advised to lodge a complaint with the Florida Attorney General so will do that. It's all made more difficult being located in Australia.

It's sad all round. Fred and FJS International were recommended to us by numerous of sources. And I get people run into money troubles, but this has gone on far to long - and nothing they have said has eventuated. As I've mentioned, we allowed plenty of opportunity for FJS International to respond before sharing our experience online.

The fact they are still trading gives me hope they'll be able to settle their debt, but they are now completely ignoring us which is the reason for these posts.

We've made the complaint against FJS International with the Florida Attorney General. As this stage, I believe this is all we can do, along with continuing our online campaign to try and hold Fred and the FJS International team accountable for their actions.

It's now been over two years with no commitment, yet they are still going on selling equipment.

Just a quick update on this post.

In the last month, we have reached an agreement with FJS International where they are now making regular payments to on the debt owed to us.

I will update this post once the debt is paid in full.
