FIZ ActionProducts U-LEX

What motors are those in the video?

Hi Brian,

is AP going to be at NAB?

Thanks

Looks great Brian. I presume the motors are digital and not analogue? I have no sound on this computer so if you said so in the Youtube click my apologies!!!

Would also been keen to hear at least an estimated price tag on this.

Paul

Brian,

looks very nice.

Also if you could beat the price from the combo of

M-One Lens Drive Motor and Bartech Focus Device

that we can find at ActionProduct page then you (and we) are both fine.

Thant will not be possible - the U-LEX offers a hole lot with the basic unit, but this has it's price. See my next post.

The standard control handle already offers connection of 3 motors - focus, iris and zoom. Two of them can be controlled at the same time - for the third one you can switch back and forth. With the separate available zoom-grip - all 3 can be controlled simultaneously. The zoom-grip can also be used without the main control handle or brain/amp (cable connection directly to the motor, the zoom handle has it's own motor amp built in).
The system offers:

- Automatic Lens detection
- up to 100 lens-memory
- multiply step programing for iris/zoom
- all kinds of adustements (motor speed etc.)
- automatic visual focus range (calculated on the iris your using) on the LCD of the grip
- build in SD video in out, with frameline and focus/lens information on the screen you use
- optional mini LCD with 2.4 ghz wireless video
- 3D modus (Focus slave funktion for Iris or zoom motor)

Compatible with most digital motors (heden etc.)

Brian,

thanks for reply.

I saw the prices and they are very close to Cmotion base unit price for RED1 that costs about 10.000 Euro.

Thats correct, if you only need a single motor system and don't plan on up-dating, then the BFD is the best bang for the buck.
If you plan on going 3 motors or 3d, then we believe the U-Lex will give you most for your money.

Confused about different Motors. What is difference between LOON and U-Lex?

Pics of those? also, is any of this on your website?

Thanks.

Super sweet product. Not something I'll ever be looking into buying (too steep a pricetag), but it's nice to see more competition in the market. More choices for everyone.
