Hi Ben, if you purchased this:
http://www.red.com/store/products/base-power-pack

That is a REDVOLT Power Pack that won't work with your RED Raven Jetpack Package.

The bricks you were likely after are the RED Bricks in V-Mount/V-Lock to go along with the DSMC BATTERY BELT CLIP that comes with your package.

This one here:
http://www.red.com/store/products/red-power-pack

Each of those V-Lock Bricks gives you a bit over 2 hours of filming time per charge.

Once you get up and running I'm pretty sure you'll want additional MINI-MAGs. I usually recommend between 2-4 MINI-MAGs for those starting out as you can offload your footage and continue shooting when you fill up a MINI-MAG.

Thank You so much Phil really appreciate it can't wait to get my hands on it, sadly I only have in my budget for one mini mag :(

Hey Ben

Not sure how things will work on the Raven but when I bought an Epic the things I had issues with were batteries and mags. I went the red volt route due to budget but soon found that eight wasn't enough. Not sure about Raven's power consumption but think about what you would need for a full days shoot. I also agree with Phil about the mini mags. Be mindful that if you fill one up, it takes a while to get all the media off so you wont be able to shoot while that's happening. Imagine being out on location with a slow laptop, simply transferring the media will stop you for an hour or more depending on the size of the card. The idea of only one card is pretty scary to me.

The great thing about the modular nature of Red is that you can add to the kit as you start to earn money from it. I personally think that an EVF is pretty essential for focusing in certain situations.

Good Luck mate, buying a camera is an exciting time. I will say that I went with the best setup that I could afford and made sure that I worked within those limitations until it helped raised the funds to deck it out with a little more cool stuff.

Cheers Rich Thanks for the advice, I'm going with 2 Bricks and a charger but Don't have it in the budget for another mag so I'll have to make do with one for now until I make enough money to get another one wouldn't mind having an Epic.
