  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First Footage shot with my Scarlet-W

Brian, on your website you say: "However, if shooting ProRes, 2K is most certainly usable. Shooting ProRes downscales the 5K sensor to the ProRes resolution you are shooting, as opposed to how it crops the sensor when shooting RAW."

So if a shooter chooses NOT to record RAW but only ProRes, can 240FPS be shot using the full 5K sensor downscaled to 2K? Looking at Red's specs, I think I have answered my own question. ProRes seems to have a max of 60FPS.

Yes, shooting ProRes downscales the 5K sensor to 2K and has a max frame rate of 60FPS as Andree said.

Thanks for sharing the footage Brian! I was checking out the pictures of your Scarlet-W rig on your website and was curious how much it all weighs. Looks like a pretty nice lightweight setup.

Hey Andy, sorry for the late reply. Is there any particular clip you request?

Hey Brian, no worries! Any clip is fine (maybe not with direct sunlight) but whichever is conveniently sized (upload-wise) will work great. Thanks.
