Has anybody had any issues with 4.0.10?
I have been using 3.3.14 and it was a very stable and solid build for me, so im a reluctant to go to 4 right now. But all those spanky new features are tempting.
Trying to gauge whether this is as stable or still a bit buggy. Any thoughts?

4.0.10 is a release build so I would imagine it's pretty solid. 4.0.9 was buggy as hell, but I switched to 10 the other day and haven't noticed anything.

I was in the same boat Nino...but when I saw it was a release build I had to jump. It has been rock solid for the 2 shoots I've used it on.

The new user interface is so nice, it really feels like a much more mature camera.

The Pre-record feature is huge for me and being able to finally take advantage of it is great. i've mapped it to the half press of the side handle record, so intuitive.

So I loaded in 4.0.10 to try it out and familiarise myself with the menus but the camera crashed and powered down upon import and application or my keys presets file .
This has never happened before so its a bit of a worry. I might keep testing before a job next week.

I've been using 4.0.10 for the last few days, and it's been pretty solid except for occasional banding in the redtouch LCD after changing resolutions or switching in/out of 1:1 focus mode. The R3Ds are coming out fine, so I'm not stressing about it. Pre-record is pretty crucial for nature cinematography, so there's no going back for me now that the recent beta builds are gone.

havent had the chance to do extensive test yet but one problem I have come across today is sometimes the battery percentage for redvolts seems to get stuck. It would indicate one battery at say 11% or 20% but is actually dead and has started utilizing the other redvolts in quad module with +1 module. need further testing to find the cause.

Can you open a support ticket and send in the preset file causing the problem.

In trying to extrapolate the time lapse settings....can someone translate 1 frame every 5 seconds with a 2 second exposure, in "frame summing"........I never did well at math. Can we make it more intuitive?

used for 3 consecutive days, without any hitch. impressive....

4.0.10 Seems pretty stable to me. I have used it for 4 shoot days and it required a reboot only once due to me pressing multiple buttons simultaneously on the side handle including the zoom.
So apart from that, no issues.

Add me to the stable users list. I am quite happy with the release version.

Very snappy.
Magnify function is VERY good, (nice job red team)
camera and software are responsive.

Upgraded from 3.0.14 last week, had the first shoot a few days age (Interview-shots) - everything went smooth and without any problems!
This is a very very nice build feature-wise - even the small additions are really nice (like you see with one glimpse which color science you're on now at the histogram and so on...).

Just one thing I noticed; when zooming in 1:1 (focus assist/magnify) there can be some picture-glitches during this short process - especially seeing this on external monitors (SDI)... but this is something that does not do any harm in any way since it's only on the monitoring path.

Overall I'm very happy with this build!

I've been on it for a bit now and it seems rock solid.
LOVE the new UI, the menus are better and more organized.
I saw the 1:1 magnify glitches. No big deal... honestly, that transition has never been super smooth anyway. Love the little red box.
Cheers,
Harry

Not sure if it's my camera or the Build, but I loaded it on set the other day and 4 of my clips would not "post" after stopping the roll. RedUndead got most of the clips back. So besides a sweat, not really a problem. I was having sound issues and RED Support told me to install most current upgrade. I also sent LOG file. In the end, camera is at RED being repaired now. Hoping the sound problem was also the cause of the bad clips. We shall see!

On the plus side, this is the first problem I've ever had with either of my RED cameras (knock on wood) outside of user error!

Found that some overlay options of the Pro I/O have been eliminated. You can now only pick an overlay for the PVW output, all other outputs can just have 'clean' or 'mirror PVW' options.

Also found the Rear mix audio controls don't do anything but the Cam mix controls adjust the line output return (5-pin audio out) from the Pro I/O.

Called Steve in tech support and registered these problems.

There are a maximum number of monitors that can be setup to something other than 'Clean' (I forget if the limit is 3 or 4). Once all these have been assigned your only options will be 'Clean' or 'Mirror XXX'. Set all monitors you aren't using (e.g. HDMI or HDSDI on the brain) to 'Clean' to open more monitors.
