1 - I want one-click in and out of RAW exposure check mode. I don't want to waste time cycling through all those useless weird modes every time.

2 - I want one button click to show menus/zoom in on image, as it used to work on Red One. Again, why must I cycle through all the weird display modes? I'm not interested in the Tron Font Mode or whatever some of them are I just want to see my menus, then see my image as big as it can be in the LCD, quickly.

3 - The LCD lock button should be removed. I do not need to ever lock my LCD - I have never, ever wanted to do this (and I'm, sure I'm not alone)but it has caused my all sorts of grief many times by locking by accident - it even stays locked through a power cycle. Who the (*&^! thought this was a good/useful feature!? - attached to a long press of a button (menu page cycle) that we use all the time, no less, is something super time-consuming and dangerous that seems impossible to get out of - it's almost like a "make camera unusable" button, as pressing it again and holding does not always work to unlock. At least let me turn this "feature" off in the settings (or just get rid of an awful mistake).

4 - Show me black shade temp right next to current temp. Change to another color when the difference between the two is more than recommended. Automatically save black shades using naming that reflects the temp at the time.

5 - Sell me a 1 gig low-spec SSD card, that only stores black shades, so I can make and keep a "Black Shade SSD" in my spare time with all temp variations, and just copy whatever I need in less than a minute by inserting that card into the camera, and then the firmware decides the best fit for current camera temp and loads it automatically . I then switch cards to a normal SSD, and start making shots with perfect black-shading. No more 30 minute waits. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

Others, please agree with the suggestions you agree with, or add your own.

Black shade is about 12 minutes with V4

I really like number 5.

A really inexpensive SSD to store black shades, presets, looks, firmwares would REALLY make a big difference in time savings and emergencies.

Am I missing something or is #1 the bottom round button on the left side of the 5" touch LCD raw exposure check, and #2 is the top round button the 1:1 pixel view on firmware default settings?.

It goes through many modes on my cam. I'll have to double check maybe there is indeed another option. I have the LCD buttons set to other stuff

Hey Robert, why don't you assign your exposure and raw view togle to the buttons of your choice?
I use all the internal tools with the side handle in one click.
Personally I never use the touch screen to go threw the menu, because I hate the finger prints.
Best

Stated earlier on another thread....but might as well go here in the hope of it being noticed .

- A way to mark gotakes in camera...say at the end of a take ....................similar to the way Apple can "highlights" folders with a different color.

All decent suggestions, but as others have pointed out, the RAW check can be assigned.
I like #5 especially.
Cheers,
Harry

Touch the histogram, press RAW....only two touches!

That's not as fast as one button on/off, especially if you have big fingers or are wearing gloves. I'll check for assigning a button - that's what I thought I did, but it go through many views, not just RAW and back, maybe I picked the wrong item in the set-up.

Double tapping the display for bigger menu buttons. Currently the touch screen has the playback button on the upper left hand corner and it can be very finicky to hit it just right. Also to get it out of playback mode. The list of clips could use larger icons to select which clip you want to playback, that can be finicky as well.

recording mode added to the presets so you can save timelapse/ramping presets, and higher framerate timebase options so you can record sound in say 96 or 120 fps and slo mo in post

1> Faster 1:1 zoom .... or normal view with small center box zoomed to 1:1 during shooting!

2> 'DSLR like' focus : half press does : a) open Iris b) do auto focus c) return iris to original stop.
This results in easier and better auto focusing.

3> clear/erase SSD without deleting my black calibrations I stored there.

Being able to toggle a 1:1 center box would be great. That, and being able to adjust the sharpening in peaking mode, since its current incarnation sometimes makes objects appear to be in focus when they're not.
