Finished with error - When exporting to external drive.

Trying to export brand new (Firmware) Helium footage on a UDF Redmag, to an external drive - Processing the R3D to Prores in Redcine (new and old versions).

Get immediate error if attempting external drives.


Only exports Prores QT to the Redmag itself.


Is this an UDF issue or...??

Hi.

Asked you a few questions, but:

Are you transcoding directly from the mag? (It sounds like)

What is the format of the external disk. Is it new?
In that case it CAN be NTFS formatted.

Is it the same problem if you copy files and then transcode?

I suggest you use disk utility and re-format the new external drive before you try.

Mac OS X cannot write to NTFS

check your gui setting. For sone reason mine was set to render on a gpu i did not have.
