My guess is that these new projects for Fincher have little to do with the impact on delayed deliveries. These are one or three off pieces so they never hit the production line and are most likely designed and built in the R&D shed at RED. Production lines and people probably see this the same time we do and never touch it. It's like a Land and Tremblay only thingy. Just a guess.

I won't spill all the beans, but as you can see in the photograph there's a Lens Gear and Height adjustment and it certainly plays well with the Summilux-C primes.

If you look even closer there are a couple other neat things about this setup.

Heh, while I fully understand you camera hot-rodders investing heavily with your time, learning how to make a funny-car camera jump through hoops and amaze, I'm running plain ole' stock frame with no extra modifications to aid in making a shoot awesome.

Therefore, I'm only concerned with what's under the hood... like the 8k sensor... and especially, when I'll get mine. "-)

I looked a little closer on the Mindhunter trailer and it almost looks like some anamorphic distortion and aberrations in some images? Since I believe it's shot in 6K with 5K crop, has this been added in post to add a kind of period feel to the image? I don't remember seeing that on the Summiluxes before.

Can't wait for this show! Any chance that RED releases the top mounted custom EVF for Mr Probst to the general public? Would love to have the option of mounting the EVF to the top port so I can use the GDU cowboy handle on the left side.
