FilmConvert OFX Plugin Released for Avid

Michael,

I think the problem with Avid is that they create potentially amazing features and then just abandon them. It's like the ideas come from people who the software and understand the industry, but the follow through is driven by a top heavy management of doofises.

For example the SmartTool. Avid was pretty good at tweaking it when there was an initial outcry at its introduction. But now, it feels that Avid sees it as just another feature that we have. Check off that box, Timeline Editing. Time to move on to another feature that we can market to drive sales. Repeat.

JMHO.

Thanks for the info, I guess Open FX is not so Open after all. Will need to make a Scratch specific version at some stage.

Not surprising at all. You can check the OFX versions of Sapphire http://www.genarts.com/software/sapphire/other-ofx and see for yourself, that even though the majority of this plugin is OFX compliant, there are still platform specific. They are specific for Baselight, FilmLight or Mistika, but not for Scratch, Smoke or Vegas. Nuke is even more confusing, as it is listed as OFX compliant, but at the same time it is listed as a separate non OFX download.
