I don't think this would be anything besides software ...

Can there be a mode, when running an additional display:

That allows the built in screen of the Komodo give you a 1 to 1 pixel display in the "focus area" while the other (larger external) monitor displays the entire field of view?

I am still using the old DSMC I Scarlet-X so I am a bit outdated if anything similar has been implemented, if there has, I am not aware of it.. But it would be nice for people who manually focus.

I know manual focus is not the point of going with the RF mount, or necessarily the camera as a whole, but it would really be handy for those of us that do prefer manual or that have just manual (Zeiss EF) lenses.

Hoping for the same and that is potentially how monitoring can work on DSMC2 now with the external display (Tools versus Clean). Just currently you can't record while magnified.

I'm actually hoping that we can record while magnified. That would be a great help for lots of shooting situations. Especially on certain shots where even AF isn't the most ideal solution.

Oh. And I should add. If there's some sort of way to move the magnified reticle/area while zoomed in, even better.

Excellent idea!
Recording while 1:1 would be awesome!

Given the aspect ratio of the built-in display, could we split the display to shot the full frame on the top half and then use the bottom half for 1:1 maybe?
Would help a lot for low-key setups where we must be as inconspicuous as possible :)

It is just something that frustrates me to no end with digital displays. When you shot a scene that looks good at 50% of the real resolution, to only have it not focused at 100%. With the Scarlet-X at least I can focus at the pixel level, just not in real-time. The Komodo offers that second display, so I figured it would be perfect for manual focus use like this.

Just as an end user, I am still waiting for a camera to do this. With its built in display, It would be a missed opportunity for it not to happen.

(While I am being a "good idea fairy" a reverse view would be nice as well, meaning you can horizontally flip the top display, so I can read it in a mirror.)

Yes! Love this idea. I am all about old MF glass and this would be a huge help, Having one monitor punched in while recording to ensure sharp focus is held would be a life saver.

Downreszed 4k from full sensor 6k internal in a prores format would be a big help. Same goes for 2k without crop would be huge!
