  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Here is some select clips from a feature I DP'd a few months back. Unfortunately I don't know if it will ever be released because production had been put on hold due to budget I believe...

But either way, I got some lovely footage. They wanted a more film noir style of lighting and look so thats what I did. Tried to put my own flavor in it. Great crew, gaffer put up with my ridiculous lighting requests as well. We shot A LOT in a few locations, it was SUPER heavy on art department, every single thing in frame is basically props brought in.

I shot for 2.40:1 crop in 4K
1:6 compression ratio
ISO 500
Lenses are a huge mixture from L glass to Tokina 11-16, and others
Lighting
2x Arri 650's
2x 4x4 Kinos
2x 2x4 Kinos
2x Inkys
1x Arri 1K
2x Arri 300w
and a few more I can't remember. Small tight locations meant lots of practicals used as well.

Had no problem with my scarlet other than a random heat jet blast during a super long take, and 1 error which was cleared on reboot. :001_cool:

Oh and used Dana Dolly for all movement, love that thing!

Thanks a bunch, yeah the window shots were nice, but actually the easiest ones to shoot haha.

Looks awesome man! Love the background lighting in most of these shots too - the subtle highlights, etc. Excellent set dressing as well.

Grade Work.... :)
