Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I've never use Filmconvert so I cannot help you for that.

2. Right now there are no OpenCL support for HD 4000, you can open the program, but you cannot do anything with that
3. From what I read OS X Maverick will add support for OpenCL on HD 4000, so it's not about Resolve support, it's about OS X support

6. You can use the iMac. Copy all necessary footage, export XML from FCP X, import XML in Resolve, select the folder where the footage is located
I'm just finished with the Ripple FCPX Core training....
The training is amazing! So is the program.... I'm glad I decided to go with FCPX! Of course it needs practice and real world usage, but right now I feel I did the right choice.
KBCovers keyboard cover is a great option! It cost me around 40-50 bucks shipped, but it worths every penny!
