  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Favorite High-End Beer?

Okay, THE absolutely BEST beer in the world, prepared by devout monks who have taken an eternal, trans-generational vow of poverty and chastity and only live to minutely prepare a precious few unmarked bottles of beer a year... and who one must go in person to pick up at the most remote region of the belgian mountains, while enduring attacks of rabid wolfs and pilfering thieves....

Well, I don't believe in really high quality "beers." High quality beers are called ales in my book -- and my favorite ales are Belgian triples, like from Unibroue in Canada, like La Fin Du Monde and Maudite, for instance, also Trois Pistoles...

Urquell all the way!

Urquell all the way!

dont know what you mean with term "high-end beer" :sarcasm:
but for me it's this one, no doubt.

.... and ONLY tap with help of air from cooled tanks!!!

everywhere I'm on planet Earth, I always miss that taste, ... always

It's the REAL "real thing"!

I don't drink alcohol anymore, but I have had some beer made by Trappist monks. It was pretty good I guess, if you like that sort of thing....

that's it - this thread is killing me - I'm off to BevMo with a shopping list.

I remember when I was a kid my dad took us to the Coors brewery in Colorado, and the smell was JUST AWFUL. At least I thought so when I was 10.

Jeremy, stop trolling. ;)

I don't know if I could call this one my favorite, but its in my top 10 certainly. It used to be brewed on site at what is my favorite pub (Royal Standard of England in Beaconsfield), but now is craft brewed locally. Just had a pint in September, and its as good as I recall from years past.

Here is another that is, as far as I know, one of the highest alcohol content beers available (over 11%). Not the best beer that I have had, but a unique one non the less.
