Is there an external recorder such as an Atomos, etc. that would allow the Komodo to record ProRes at the same time as recording R3D? I know the Komodo is incapable of this internally but maybe with an external recorder/monitor something could exist. It would save me a step for my workflow to have prores proxies, effectively already made. Atomos' site doesn't list any compatibility with the Komodo, but I'm not sure if that's really true?

Was hoping someone also had insight on this. Was thinking about picking up a 12G 5" Blackmagic Video assist for this reason.

You can record ProRes for sure on Atmos. I haven't used the workflow in ages, but no reason it can't work. Pretty confident you can feed it Log3G10 and slap a viewing LUT on there too.

Don't think it will trigger record however if that's the question. Double punch would be needed to roll.
