  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone ever asked about being able to purchase an extended warranty? Is it possible? I would love to be able to purchase a 2 or 3 year extended warranty. Brent.
 
I would love to see an extended warranty offered. Two additional years at least would be great.

Peace of mind for Red owners, and another income stream for Red - could be a win/win.
 
Good question Finner. I don't think the subject was ever discussed before.
 
I have asked. There is likely a plan in the works.
 
I am anxiously waiting for the day when warranties finally expire so people will start opening up their cameras to see what the can modify/soup-up/improve or break!

How can you guys own such a cool piece of technology without opening it up to see what makes it tick?!?

I heard of one guy who opened up the camera and couldn't get it to work after putting it back together. Ouch.

if we do do an extended warranty, that will never be covered. If you decide to open it up, you better know how to put it back together :)
 
will red sell some cheap dead connectors for the connectors...protection against dust?

or does anybody know where to buy these.
