  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Explosion...

Very cool Jarred. Very.

Very nice! And here is an explosion of a controller for it: http://reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=332294&postcount=946

Thats so cool to scroll back and forth over at this rez. More please!
Looking at that big 9k sensor got me wondering (and perhaps this needs another thread) - with this sensor are there plans for all the other crop-down modes to be supported such as 6k and 4k using PL mount or Canon/Nikon etc? In other words if I chose the 645, am I by default also getting the same range of options as the S35 and FF35?

Epic 645 will allow you to window the sensor to mimic the appropriate size needed per the mount you choose.

Jarred,

What is the module between the brain and IO modules?

Is that the CF module on the left-side of the brain?

All the LCDs seem to mount aligned with the mount points on the top of the camera. I presume the LCD can be mounted on RED arms and positioned anywhere? I can't imagine this any other way, but just want to make sure.

Thanks for the view... very cool.

Mmmm... More eye candy. :)

Ahhhh...nice Jarred, thanks for taking the time to share. So are you guys planning on using those extreme high power magnets to hold each module together, cause thats all I can imagine with this current configuration. I am not kidding, I played with uber charged magnets that could do damage if you were not careful so its a possibility?

Best

extreme high power magnets to hold each module together....

high powered magnets and recordable media (like hard drives) are not something you really want to co-exist.

Wow Jarred that's what I exactly waited for! Thanx :w00t:

Please stop now Jarred, it's not funny anymore that's just torture now! :)

So are we in the race to see a s35 epic or scarlet ready to ship in spring?

Is there any hope to see a special version of the S35 scarlet who could do 2k at 120fps or 100? I would not don't mind to pay 6000 $ more for that actually...

I've had a concern since the first time I saw the new and improved models. What holds them together and how sturdy is that connection? It reminds me of a bunch of freight cars each carrying their own load, but what holds them together solidly? Through bolts? Velcro? Duct tape? I could see it being "accordian-esque" without some sort of rock-solid connection.
