Still looking for the right deal on this exchange idea - cash top up is based half of the price difference between my gear and yours at AbelCine... and a good 100mm head and carbon legs is what I'm wanting to switch out my O'Connor 2060HD head and tall and baby heavy duty Ronford Baker 150mm sticks, along with hihat, for - O'Connor or Sachtler would be perfect. eMail me at chris@clai.tv!

We are moving out of our RED systems, and so don't need the sheer stability of our 150mm bowl support systems any more... so I'm looking to exchange our simply amazing O'Connor 150mm bowl 2060HD fluid head, complete with Ronford-Baker single stage long and baby legs and spreaders, and 150mm bowl Abelcine HiHat for a lighter but equally smooth and wonderful 100mm bowl system - I'm thinking in terms of an O'Connor 1030D, Sachtler 15D or the like, with a set of carbon sticks and case.

The 2060HD is about two years old, carries around 65lbs and is extraordinarily smooth and accurate regardless of whether it has had our fully loaded Dragon on it or a GH4... just a great design. The legs are around 10 years old, and not quite as pretty, but built like nothing else to work as securely fully up or all the way down.

Of course, with the 2060HD weighing in at around $12,500, and Ronford-Baker legs at $1,800 a set - plus the spreader cost - this isn't going to be an equal trade... but it is a great opportunity for someone working with mid weight cameras to move up to studio and fully configured location support and not have to start from scratch. So please do let me know what you have to deal and what you are thinking about in terms of cash difference and let's see if we can make it work!

Email me at Chris@CLAi.tvNB. Legs are heavy duty tall and short with spreaders, head is 2060HD.

Got some interesting offers coming in on this trade + cash deal. It seems that a lot of folk are deciding, just as we did, that a fully loaded Dragon or Weapon needs some serious support!

How much would you sell the system for?
I do have a sachtler video 15 I can toss in?

Hi Donovan, not what I was planning but who cares! The 9060HD head (which is a really good one in excellent condition) would be $9,000 and each set of legs would be $1,000, and I'd throw in the HiHat - plus shipping from Santa Cruz, CA and any payment fees incurred... less whatever we decided on the Video 15 depending on condition and exact model. If that sounds interesting can you drop me a note at chris@clai.tv with some more details?

Chris

Hey Chris, we've a 100mm setup I've been using on our Dragon for a while and loving: a Sachtler Cine 7+7 HD head + a set of 2-stage carbon fibre legs & ground spreader (the sticks will take a mid-level spreader but I just don't like them myself). Travels fairly light but can take more weight than the 1030D. However we're looking at going more studio when we upgrade to Weapon and switching to 150mm would be a part of that... so, what do you think would be a fair trade? PM me if you like!
