Quick 5 min grade applied too.

This is part of a test for a shoot I have coming up soon so lets not pixel peep the crap out of it ok Just seeing what the camera can do at low light and high FPS.

Camera settings: 96 FPS, 45 Degree Shutter, (I wanted to give the fire a frenetic feeling even though it was slo-mo) 2000 ASA, 3200K white balance, 5K FF RC compression 12:1 shot on a Zeiss Superspeed 50MM at a T-2.8/4 split. All shot and posted with REDCOLOR 2 and REDLOGFILM (REDLOGFILM is amazing btw.)

That DP zoom lens seems to be a perfect fit! Do you feel that way as well?
What bottom plate and 15mm rods mount are you using?

Yea, I love these lenses, the 30-80 does need a slight modification to clear the back of the Epic but it's covered under warranty as long as your lens is.
The bottom plate with 15mm video rods is made by Element Technica.

I shot some pick-ups today for a short and thought I had found a perfect scene to test HDRx, of course once I brought it into RCx and played around with it I found all the DR was already there in the single exposure. I'm beginning to think that 13+ stops might actually be conservative :-]

Here's a few BTS pics from today...

Using my SUV for a realllllly long dolly move.

Tilly hats work great as monitor sunshades in a pinch.

200mm Nikkor unsupported doesn't phase the titanium mount one bit.

Also we we're able to shoot for three hours on one Redbrick and one Redmag 128GB, and that was running a 7" TV Logic monitor off the same battery, although I did power off between setups. Truly liberating!

Hey guys,
Ive been away for awhile shooting like a madman and I have some great images coming soon. I wanted to share some quick photos from the Redbull Soapbox race in LA a week ago. I have so say shooting on EPIC for high speed is amazing. I have already been playing with Twixtor and further slowing down images and ive been very impressed with the EPIC flexibility to change speed in post. The cameras super light weight and flexibility really allowed me to get some great shots while still being light enough to run up and down the course action sports photographers rejoice!

While I cannot show any footage just yet (technically Redbull owns the footage, I will be posting a montage reel soon)
