  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just wanted to give everyone the good news that we have caught up on EVF deliveries so we can start shipping EVFs as at-once orders. If your camera shipped recently, expect an EVF email soon from brianb - at - red - dot - com letting you know your EVF is allocated and ready for you. If you are in the #2651-#2900 delivery group, EVFs will be available to ship realtime with your initial order.

Thanks for everyone's patience and I could not be happier announcing this (and getting the EVF Allocation Monkey off my back :) )

I thought that must be the case as I got my EVF IS READY email 3 days after receiving my camera! Now that's close!

Brent, you 'da man! What incredible timing as tonight I received my second email about the camera being ready to ship. Now I can actually use it! To quote Eddie Murphy in "Trading Places", "What a HAPPY DAY!"
 
Brent, when my camera was getting ready to ship, I was told I would get a notice when my place in line came up for the EVF and I would have the option to get one then. I guess that place in line came and went? does this mean I should just order one now?

I KNEW someone would ask about RED-DRIVES in this thread :)

RED-DRIVE backorders are being fulfilled as we speak. We should be putting them back into the store soon as we continue to fulfill through the backorders.

We let you know you were up if you had an EVF on order. If you don't have one on order, we would not allocate one for you. We'd be allocating EVFs to people who may have never wanted one :)

But it is all a moot point because we can fulfill EVF orders at-once now :usd:

Just to be clear, I did have one on order.

but anyway I guess I'll order one again now :)
 
That´s really cool news, Brent ! Just shot the first couple of takes with my new Red today thinking how nice it would be to have that EVF. Thought it would take at least two months from today !

Haven´t got an EVF mail though...When do you think it´s time for No. 2560 to get it´s EVF ?

Jones, should get an email from Brian Byrne in the coming few days.

estebanred, I don't know exactly when we'll be 100% caught up on RED-DRIVE backorders. They are shipping now and we are closing the gap.

Received my EVF today! Cam 2434. Would have been here a few days ago but Fed Ex didn't have my number.

Hang in there Jones, it's worth the wait. Amazing resolution!
