  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Everything you wanted to know about the EPIC Canon Mount

OK, so it sounds like we are at August 27th with the orders? Does that sound correct from those getting their e-mail?
I ordered mine August 27th @ 12:20am - No e-mail yet :(

I hope this is the case, I got my confirmation email on the 27th of August at 6:25pm PST.

I got the canon mount e-mail too but I passed on it this round. Hoping to ship it with our epic-x instead. Some will say I was crazy but I couldn't in good conscience get it shipped to me without a camera to mount it on. I think I ordered in the first hour.

I have had my Epic since July and no Canon mount.

I wish there were more people like you out there.

I'm going to have mine soon, still I really appreciate what you are doing for the guys behind us with Epic in hand.

EPIC Power Source Sequence?

EPIC Power Source Sequence?

Jarred,

If we have the EPIC brain powered by a brick (V-mount) and have a couple of RED Volts in the Battery Module, would the RED Brick be in the chain of redundancy? If so, which would be the primary power source (as in the first source to be utilized)?

I ordered in the first half hour, then broke the news here that it was live. Got my email on Monday night, had most of the coin in my Red account... gave them a CC on Tuesday for the last 100 bucks. Just waiting for my tracking number ;)

Yes they were correct in saying your MAD!!! :))))
I however admire you for forward thinking. I hesitated because I have so much PL glass... Didnt think I needed a canon mount at all.. by the time I realised it would be good to have a few of them, I was instantly 5 months behind everyone else! ... so whos MAD now!

You know what they say about people that hesitate right . They LOOSE!!!

This is BACKORDER land mate... no rules and there is certainly no need to feel guilty. Your just buying a canon mount, not a drug that could save some child's life :)

Thats really crazy... Only the first 30 minutes are getting theres now... You guys must have been lost in the system for sure ?.
Well I expect a couple of photos of you lovingly fitting it to your rig. :)))

I think the good news is that all pre ordered Canon mounts will ship before Scarlet X with canon mounts will ship.

I cant come close to understanding how many of these need to be made but it has to be well into the thousands.

That's a lot of time and process.

Machining
Building
Electronics
Testing
QC
Static bags
Boxing
Shipping

It's not just build and ship because it's not a dumb mount.

And is there an updated manual with this sort of info in it?
