I recently found a lens online made by a company called Meike. They are making what they call a 25mm T2.2 cine lens that has a native M4/3 mount and they are saying it will be available in E and EF later. Have any one heard of this lens or tried it out? All I find are releases about it that are almost a year old but I cant find any reviews about it anywhere. It looks almost like a Veydra lens. Any input about it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Paul

I would love to see a head to head comparison as well. It looks interesting for sure.

I made a review on the 16mm T2.2 lens that Meike has out.

After using these lenses for awhile I have have really appreciated the quality of images these give. I have started selling these lenses directly. I was told the 12mm and 35mm will be released around the June/July time frame.

but I suspect they're actually very different

You're in for a surprise, they are identical. But yeah, there's a whole lot of "badness" surrounding this particular story.

The image circles on these are quite small as well. Especially with the wider ones. I don't think they even hit APS-C. I don't think you'd see an EF version because the flange distance is too great. Ideally a Leica M version would be nice because then we could mount them at least and it would be physically possible too.

Lens Rentals did a MTF on the Veydra ones and got really good results. I loved the size of them.

cheers
Paul

Not Lens related, but some research related to control interfaces for this Tilta thing

(fair enough the wireless function on this only worked sometimes, and a person has to be capable of reading Red menus to understand how to use this)
BRUH! This is so good it has a Histogram Exposure tool built in!

Regarding Meike Vs Veydra

There are highly likely some issues here that people who aren't me know a lot more about, and indeed if this is Stolen IP being sold by someone not authorized to sell it as it appears to be, I do strongly believe the Law will Quash it appropriately.
