Does anyone have any official ET news on the progress of this little beast?

For me i want a side handle with the same functionality of the current one on Epic. Nothing more, nothing less- allow control of lenses (with iris controls), of scroling Through menus, of allowing quick changes and camera control.
Wow thats a pretty bold request for this site....I am not fan of using red volt. Please let us use Sony BPU on it. It will last 1 and a half hour at 60 wh, 2 and half hour at 90 wh

Well, it's no secret that redvolts kinda suck, 3rd party batteries are a great idea
In thinking more about a redesigned side handle it would be great if it had a swivel function like the one on the Sony FS5. I love shooing low angle and would be stoked to have the ability to rotate the handle 90 degrees forward. If it could go vertical, 45 degrees, and 90 degrees, that would be huge.
Also I want to reinforce just how important it is for me to have a battery in the new handle. It might be a deal breaker if it does not include one.
Element Technica is currently developing a side handle for the RED WEAPON. They did not have one to show at NAB, but said they were hoping to launch when the camera ships. I thought it would be useful, for those of us that use the existing side handle, to provide feedback to ET on what features we use. I personally use:
1. Record start / stop
2. Rocker - Motion Mount ND increment and decrement
3. dpad - Navigate a menu when using the EVF or a non-Red touchscreen
4. A button - Edge focus
5. B button - Gio Scope
6. C button - 1:1 mode
7. D button - exposure
The design might be baked already, but you never know.
@Patrick, could you post the link to that photo Jarred posted earlier (the one with the side handle you mentioned). Couldn't find it an facebook and/or instagram. Or in case he posted it here on reduser could you link me the thread?
Thanks mate
