In this thread it has also been stated that few EPIC X will be delivered before NAB 2011. So I think some lucky guys will receive their EPIC X stage 2 intimation mails soon.
So I thought of a thread where our friends who receive their EPIC X stage 2 mails can update us here on this thread with their R1 serial numbers which they have executed for EPIC stage 2. It will be useful for many in the que to plan.

I know we're down the list a ways but it will be a great, if rough, guide as to how long we have to wait as we watch the serial numbers tick over. Yes, I know Epics will be shipped in order of when R1s were shipped, not by serial number, but it's a guide nonetheless.
 
I have started a thread, which has a Stage 2 list, which I will update when people start receiving their Stage 2 cameras. The list is already 333 long, and this is it, so when people receive I can start marking them off one by one.

The only thing missing is ship date, since this is what determines EPIC X order.

If serial 100x waited 6 months to take delivery they will be behind 200x.

Yes you are correct, but, this will give us a rough idea...which is better than no idea....

Hi,
Your thread is a great effort...I just wanted to have a thread where people can post their Red Serial number which they have executed with date of delivery as soon as they recieve an intimation of EPIC being ready for delivery so that others in a que have a better idea of their position.

This struck me as funny. I sure hope you don't wind up getting 333 folks mad at you, one at a time...

He may think he can tick them off, but if they've just received their Epic, that may be difficult to do.:grouphug:
 
Unfortunately, this list doesn't begin to show all the people in Stage-2. I know several who are not on it, most probably don't even know about it.

This makes me guess that there are at least 500 but perhaps more like 1,000 people on Stage 2 :)

I am surprised by the number of low numbered cameras on the unofficial Stage 3 list. Makes me think there are quite a few people who decided Stage 3 was best for them.

I know, and the idea was not for every single stage 2 holder do be on the list, but just as a rough guide, for when stage 2 starts, and people start posting they have received theirs, and this way, all of us will have a rough and vague idea of where we stand...for sure many are not listed, and it is not even necessary, as when let's say serial number 800 is delivered and by chance the owner posts he has received his, the stage 2 owners with serial numbers near 800 can expect theirs to be very near....so, I don't understand why people still have not grasped this idea..., well, at least 300 have have...any way...it was just an idea...and I tried to make it work...at least I have kept it up....

A lot did not show up on this list.

Don't count on end summer promise (count on it)... for all stage 3 committed by NAB.

I doubt they will produce 5000+ EPIC until this date. They are not Sony ant it's not EX-1 type of hardware.

Less number of people have opted for Stage 2 than Stage 3..that is quite obvious...
Lets help each other out to plan for our EPICS.If you are a on STAGE 2 and recieve mail from RED for delivery please post it here with your serial number and date of delivery.

I think planning vis a vis the Stages is an exercise in futility until we get the NAB announcement.

I'm betting closer to 2-5 days before NAB that details come out...suspense to the max... maybe a couple teases of the surprise? Really REALLY close up shots and all
