  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X production...

I'm no photoshop whiz but wanted to share my enthusiasm in hopes of owning and shooting this camera some day :)

The man purchased 32 epics for the next Avatar... We have to give him a bit of love.

ok thats enough for me... I'd go on for days if I dont stop now.

You are a funny, funny man...

EPIC-X production has officially begun. The lines are rolling.

Cameras are being built and then go through an extensive QC effort. I would certainly expect EPIC-Xs to begin shipping this week...

Jim

Congrats from vienna!!

It's kinda cool thinking that those Epics are rolling off a line, right about now.

Who's gonna be the first one here with an Epic-X tattoo? (NO! I said side SSD module, NOT the CF module, you hack! Now, FIX IT!)

I still have a couple of the temporary Dragon tattoos from NAB...

Cant wait to see them out in the field. Just got through my first few Epic gigs, doing my D.I.T. thing. Quite a pleasure to work with on my end of things!

(Oh and could everyone please switch over to the SSD Modules, regardless? Cause they are kind of amazing. And by that I mean bloody fantastic.)

Ferrari today... Ford tomorrow.

Jim

Impressive.

You guys really ought to to a little "How it's made" to show off the sort of work that goes into making an Epic M or X and the complexity of the total process.

Along the same lines, one of my nephew's favorite clips is the footage at the start of Grand Turismo 5 where they take you through the process of making a car, from mines to race cars. I think I've seen a few more things than he has ... but I admit to being mightily entertained by that.

This is great! I hope you have a High Res of this one, I will love to print a poster size for my office!!!!!

Doc returns to the 80's from August 2011 and explains to Marty...."This is the future"
Well done RED team:
