Have you priced out the items? The filters (depending on brand) can be in the $300-$500 (each) dollar range. At a guess, there looks to be about $49-$50K there (including Epic at the new price).

It's also a chance to buy a throught out planned kit... from two alternate power sources through to mattebox/filters and a fully functional set of supports. Remember that RED might not always have all items in stock for delivery.

Work through the list and see for yourself in terms of the new price :)

Plus - it's OBO too ;)
 
Exactly!!! Thanks to Sergio and Andy for endorsing the price. Yes, it took for ever to put this package together, at last to find out from the production company that we are not going forward with Epic at this point :(

The filters are Formatt except for the Round HD which is Tiffen. If someone is willing to buy this now, I can also include a 3rd set of power source which is the AB Dionic batteries (x4) and charger (x2) for the same price ($45k flat) with all the related mounting tools. Here are those items:

AB matrix plate with 15mm adapters
WC a-lock (attached to matrix plate)
WC QB plate
WC AB-plate (attached to QB plate)
WC AB-QB plate (attached to QB plate)

AB Titan-2 Charger + power and XLR extension cable

AB 90 dionic batteries (x4)

I think I have made it clear in my original listing. Shipping, ownership transfer, customs fees and duties extra.

I wish I am wrong and I sincerely apolgize if this was all false or just my helucination.
I am NOT advocating NOT to buy, but to exercise caution.
I hesitated a lot before posting and asked couple of senior members how to proceed with this, they advised me to publish the facts and let the buyers decide.

Whole matter in simple words.

I have asked for partial list of items from the package including EPIC body.
He agreed and quoted a price, I tried bargaining, he is firm on his quoted price, Fair Enough agreed/
So we are talking about Payment terms, since he is from same country as me, asked him if it is possible to make payment in local currency without me worrying about currency exchange and Wire Transfer(Also time involved)
He accepted and want me to make payment into his parents bank a/c, I am glad we both are same bank network.
I asked his phone number in US, so that I can ask my friend to meet him.
He gave the number.
I told him that I will make $1000 equivalent amount into his account and personally fly down to his place and check equipment
and make instant transfer infront of him, he can check balance and I can take camera.

The trouble starts here, he warned to make full payment before even consider of flying to US.
I asked him for one reason asking for full payment, he says he as 4 other buyers lined up for Full Package, but kind enough to give me concession to split package
I told him we are talking about less than 48 hrs to make the full payment, also I am taking risk of flying at own expense during peak season and short notice(flight in next 11hrs).
NO he insists on full payment, he referred to his reputation on eBay. I have thoroughly gone through feed back , the highest item he sold was Canon 5d $3999.
But I am not sure, if that account belongs to him or not.



He says he has been gathering items for more than 6 months, where as he registered on Reduser on 8-sep-2012.(less than 3 months)
It is true that he was aggressively looking to buy EPIC & items in september, so he may be genuine buyer now turned seller.
I asked if he is the first owner and when he bought the EPIC, he is not sure first purchase date, but he recently bought it from a fellow red owner and done the ownership transfer.
So I asked him for Serial number and Name & email as per RED records, He gave me Serial#.
I asked if the ownership is on Ramaprasad name and email is gramaprasad@gmail.com or not.
He was annoyed with my questioning and supplied me a company Name and company emailid. Since it is resembling to neither his name nor eBay id, requested him his relation with the company.
He says I am wasting his time, doesn't want to provide any further information.


The reason he wants full payment in advance is that, he is in a rush to sell the package, as all the money blocked in his package, so whoever pays into his account first will get the items. fair request. he doesn't want to give me not even 24 hrs. OK I am ready for the challenge, so I asked him to let my friend meet him with the camera, i will go to Bank, let us conference call, let my friend confirm EPIC body and serial number and items, my Bank Manager transfer funds, he logs into his a/c, verify transfer after 5 minutes, If funds appear in his given account, handover the camera, else both walkout. Now he is not interested in this process, he wants money in USD only, right in his place.

Meanwhile my friend called him to meet him in the evening, Fortunately my friend lives less than 10 miles to his mentioned address, he told my friend that he will be home late, my friend was ready to meet even very late.
He did not call my friend, understandable, everybdoy is busy and forgets appointments.
So my friend took a leave on my request to help me finish transacton, because Rama wants money desprately.
So I called him Tuesday morning 10am, he is rushing for a meeting, but kind enough to talk to me, I explained my willingness to finish it quickly.
He is actually busy total next and cannot meet anybody, so I reminded him that today is Tuesday morning, why is he talking about next week, as he badly need money, I arranged whole funds, all he has to do is show up to my friend, meet him in a public place and take money, give EPIC and go home.
No, he is super busy, today and tomorrow, may meet my friend on Thursday or may be after next week. I told him its a matter of few hrs, so that he can take care of his business/personal trip peacefully. NO he is still busy,

I asked him if he really wants to sell or not, he advised me to go with other sellers,As per him it is total complicated than I imagine.

Fine, I told him, I feel you are not a legitamate seller, if you got a buyer with higher price, then I would happy for you, but if you let my friend sees the camera, I can even leave positive feedback on Reduser, else I will write my experience on forum.
For which he replied following.

"You threatening me dude - I was trying to help you dude. Don't ever
come to me with this attitude. It is that attitude I don't like right
from the first email and I'm telling u I don't find another buyer but I
don't want to sell it to you. PERIOD."


Friends once again, this just my experience, I am not claiming anything went wrong with me, but sharing my experience, becauase recently a guy name "Raj Thiruselvan" tried selling EPIC with photos of Scarlet, immediatley he was banned.
Better be safe than sorry.

If Rama Prasad is genuine seller, my sincere apologies if I am intruding with his sale.
 
I hate to respond to such threads - but

These guys tried to buy this camera at a bargain price from me but couldn't and now the camera being sold at the listed price are showing their hatred here... Lets see how far it goes...
 
I apologize and deleted my comments. Just wish that those terms were clear to me while we were talking, you see how I came to that conclusion right?
 
Sorry about it, I should have but it didn't strike me at that point - but a simple email and I would have explained all these and in fact you stopped responding because the hurricane Sandy impacted your building . I even suggested to go through Red for the ownership transfer and you would have known about all these then but you stopped communicating...
 
Well, Price was quoted by Rama, not by me, Rama is very firm on price.
If I forward all the email communication to Moderators, Rama could be banned.

However I am glad he was able to sell the package within few hrs of my post.

However this is the response from RED team to me for the given serial # and name & email id

"Hello Siva.

This email address is not associated with this camera. They are not authorized to transfer this camera without permission from the registered owner.
