  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X begins...

haha, well at this point i'm least excited about what those are for in light of everything else. but that's just me.

BTW, I know my buddy Steve Gibby, is now a very happy KID... Went full circle, Red One #8, Epic M8 (with me) and now finally at last EPIC-X #8, CONGRATS Steve,
can't wait to see that baby in your very capable hands with the CANON mount... ;)

would llove to see another unpacking video hehe:-)

Hehe! Absolutely! The best backyard in the WORLD! :D

Hopefully I'll get my Epic-X email soon so we can do a joint shoot here in Tokyo when you arrive Ketch!

Cheers from Japan,

Paul :)

and nobody knows what their function is?

It hasn't been said. Personally, I'm thinking hardwire RED LINK for camera communication over cables at long distances or, as necessary, in rigs and the like for complete remote operation. It could be anything though. For instance, it could be purely for diagnostics by BOMB SQUAD when you send the camera in. Could be some sort of flash system...

He he, it would , but this time is all up to Steve, as I am in Italy, and this is any way his DEAL, and I am not involved in the EPIC-X #8.

That would be fantastic Paul... ;)

Um.. question. Is the top of the Epic in the case suppose to be a X or as it is marked as Epic-S35? Is this the first glimpse of the S35 body?

The camera box is brown cardboard with a pretty sticker. Tell me again why we would spend too much money on a presentation box? We put all of our money into delivering a 4K camera for $17,500. There isn't much room for fluff. We gave a $2500 credit for accessories to reservation holders (up to a certain number) to help out. I prefer that you guys spend your money on gear and not paper.

Same thing with the pic of the new top... Jarred... Are you intentionally teasing us???

Correct me if I misunderstand but it's one of the first pictures of the production Epic X which is the same as the S35 body, they're the same thing.

CONGRATS RED! This is damn awesome - and love the case. What a nice touch.

RE: the pins - maybe you can slot a liquid cooling pack in there? And that's some kind of crazy electronic regulator communication thing?

Yes, I am kinda wandering what the Scarlet S35 model will be marked as too! But for me the big news is: with branding like that, you know that FF35 is still gonna happen, because it will fit nicely type-wise on the top of the camera. Yaay :)

LOL, just putting an Epic-S in there for fun and envy....

That's allmost brutal, right?

:-)

That new grille looks so much smarter!

Cannot get that thing in my hands soon enough...
(well, I do sorta have its sibling, but it's not mine...)
