Hi team RED

If I remove the four screws that hold the metal plate in around the sensor/olpf to attach some self adhesive flock will this
void my 2 year warranty?

I haven't done it yet as i wanted to get the ok from team RED first as it would be a lot easier to attach the flock with the plate removed
rather than trying to stick the flock on and risk scratching the olpf bit of the sensor.

Adam,
you have to remove teh screws to clean the sensor as well as change to the Cannon mount or nikon mount....so logic seems to imply you can remove the PL mount. You would have to do this to do a sensor cleaning anyway.....

this is not a knock by the way, just seems to obvious what the answer is here

They aren't the scews i am talking about. After removing the PL mount there are another 4 torx screws holding the olpf sensor in.. Sometime manufacturers put special locktite glue in those sort of screws.

Vaguely related question, Adam: did you get the black flock material? Is it likely to shed/collect dust?

Hi pawel.

I just received the black flock and that why i am asking the question about removing the screws. If i dont hear anything back I will have to perform micro surgery on my epic with out removing screws
