I bought a battle-tested Nikon mount from the RED store for my new Epic-W and the electronic lenses I'm using aren't allowing me to change the aperture. One is the Nikon 24-70 which is listed as supported in RED's documents.

Is there something I'm missing?

Is it the newer 24-70 with IS or the prev gen? I have the non-IS 24-70 on my Nikon mount and it works fine. The snapshots I posted the other day were all from that lens except the flowers which was Leica-R 135mm.

My Nikon mount is AL.

Non-IS version. I also put on my 17-55, which the mount detected correctly, but it won't adjust aperture.

my epic arrives tomorrow and I have nikon mount, between me and my wife we probably have about 30 nikon mount lenses, I will let you know what I find with mine once I get the chance to toss some on there, going to be shooting all leica r for the event

I have a feeling your battle-tested mount made need to visit the medical tent. Sorry Josh.

Hi there, I have the same problem with the epic w, none of my nikon lenses ( which are listed as compatibel) adjust their aperture but with a factory new Nikon Mount! Quiet frustrating. Were you able to fix that problem?

I had to send in my mount. Luckily I had a friend who borrowed me a Nikon mount in the meantime. It's now fixed.
