We are planning to upgrade our two EPIC-X to EPIC-W. We are sitting on a bunch on Global Media Pro Batteries (230W) were wondering how to use them on the DSMC2 System.
I have read on another thread here that the GMP won`t work with the "DSMC2 V-Lock I/O Expander" as the GMP are to wide. We thought that we can solve this issue by using the "DSMC2 Base Expander" plus the "DSMC2 V-Lock Battery Module" on it. From the product photos I have seen on red.com and google it should increase the distance between the batteries and the outputs? Can someone confirm that this would work with GMP batteries? Or is there any other solution for a V-Mount solution including SDI, HDMI and Power-In? Thanks a lot for your help!

the "DSMC2 Base Expander" plus the "DSMC2 V-Lock Battery Module" does NOT have battery width issues. It will work fine with Global Media Pro Batteries. It costs more to do it this way but is more flexible long term if you ever want to put something besides a v-lock module on the back. And it beats having to buy all new batteries.
