Hey there everyone.

So I have a Deneke slate and just saw that my 5pin lemo won't connect. fun.

So my question is where can I purchase a 5pin to 4pin lemo cable?

The latter is "no longer available".

The Denecke slates take in a 1/4" mono phone plug, including the TS-2, TS-3, and TS-C. I thought the output of a Red camera was a standard 5-pin Lemo connector. The TS-C is unusual in that it has both a Lemo input and a 1/4" input, but I've only ever used the latter. (The 1/4" connectors cost 1/10th as much and are more durable.)

One great source that will make you a custom cable from 5-pin Lemo to 1/4" is Wilcox Sound in Burbank, at (818) 504-0507. Great people. They made a very nice SB-T -> Red timecode jam cable for me, and were thoughtful enough to make it just the right length (and using a "red" cable, which I thought was a nice touch). Good people.

Important safety tip: I make it a point not to set the slate in auto, but instead specifically set it for the mode I want, typically 23.98. I find there's far fewer problems, especially when you run into different time code audio level outputs, which sometimes range from 1V to 3V.
