  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC stage 3...list

Received EPIC-X #2441 after shipping of it was cancelled and reassigned.
Maybe I got a new version since S/N jumped by 800 from the original confirmation S/N.
Let's test it on the Washington DC Blossom Festival

And today is blossom peak day!!
Two weeks earlier than usual.
What a good timing.....

RED #71xx (Stage 3.5) received at RED UK March 14th. Checking email every 5 minutes for the evaluation results email...

RED #5801 got it's final invoice notification (which I paid right away of course) yesterday on March 20th.
I had to pay an additional $550 USD fee for some minor repairs. Optical low pass filter replacement and a new internal camera blower thingy whatever.

Awaiting tracking number now.

Hey guys. Sent in serial 5727 last week.

Just got fast evaluation report and a minor heart attack.

My fully functional red one, shot literally days before, needs more than $7800 in repairs. Oh my. Including 8 flash covers at cost of over $2000 and CPU I/o board over $4400.

I've contracted RED trade in guy Kris for more details. Cause it was fully functional... Maybe damaged by ups? I did insure it. I'm praying for a way forward. Otherwise my Epic dreams look dashed.... Any thoughts / advice? Thank you good people.

(one update great response from Kris, great guy, at least $2000 is in error, now double checking rest... Fingers. Crossed)

RedOne #945 is now Epic-X #1640.

I was not really pushy regarding the transaction. My old RedOne was busy and hence the evaluation got delayed by myself for 3 weeks. I had minor repairs which were no surprise for me. Ivan at RedEurope did a great job! Thanks!

RedMote (need that), SideHandle (don't need that urgently) and QuadModule (I'm using IDX bricks for now) are on backorder.

Currently the camera is at my friend's CNC shop getting a custom top-plate with a smart extension that will carry the battery and leave space for the RedMote in between. This way I will have a well-balanced camera for handled work.
