  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC stage 3...list

Anyway, happy to know that my Epic is closer than ever. And hope for the rest of prospective owners that things seems to start moving faster. My Red got at their facility on Monday morning and I have already got the quote.

Well, not invoice yet. Just the Evaluation quote. After that I guess will come the final invoice, pay for it, and send the EPIC. So I expect another week until finally it arrives.

Well that sucks. In my case I never rented the red out without me being next to it like a paranoid father!! :-)

But as you say, it's a great upgrade anyway.
 
Red 711 has been "converted" to Epic-X 01616...!!! It arrives tomorrow, so the spreadsheet can be updated. I am SO happy... Big thanks to the Red team, Jarred (my favorite giant), Brent (who always makes things happen), and Morgan, the best Squad Rep ever...!!!

Just got my email today. As soon as I get RMA my red one will be fedexed to RED.

Very excited...been waiting and the day has finally arrived.

Today has been a great day for me in several ways, this really helped make today even more special.

I just got the e-mail to ship my R1 back to RED for Stage 3 evaluation. RED #2853 originally took delivery in October 2008. Shipping it back to RED today via UPS 2nd Day Air. Fingers crossed for a smooth evaluation and minimal repair fees.
 
I just got the email to ship back today. I'm shipping it back tomorrow. Stage 3. My R1 was shipped out to me 9/23/08
 
Tehben I agree with you. I love the image quality but the Red was just too big and awkward for my shooting style - why I am just SO thrilled to be getting an epic. I used to just grab my old jvc hdv camera and go out shooting for fun and to experiment with stuff because it was so light and easy to use - those days are coming again and much more rapidly than anyone predicted. I can see that we are into the 4000s now !
 
Are you guy's getting redmotes with your stage 3? The initial sign up had it included but my company just received our notice and it made no mention of a redmote in the email.

It is included in Stage 3. Also the 3rd email I got from my BS did mention the Redmote.

I got my email earlier today to send in my Red (#3178 received Sept 26, 2008) for evaluation. I just got an RMA from RED and I am semi-reluctantly ready to kiss my baby goodbye! She has been good to me, but just weighs too much.
