EPIC stage 3...list

EPIC X #02208 has Arrived in Reno/Tahoe - Camera 94 has gone full circle !!! Thank you RED !!!!!!!!!!!!!
:001_smile::drool:

EPIC based in LA, Reno, Tahoe, Abroad.

I just signed off and paid for my stage 3 Epic (trade in was #1572) the camera should be here in about a week or less. An associate of mine got his Epic X stage 3 today, I just happen to be there when it arrived. His trade in R1 was a serial number in the high 600's

I don't think there is any way to change settings without one of the three, but you could def plug in a monitor and shoot on the defaults I would guess....

true. you need either LCD, Side handle or redmote to control the camera, my friend got his today and it only came with batteries and a charger, if he didn't already have a sidehandle and EVF he would be out of luck.

Mark, I don't need sympathy from you or anyone else.

But now that you mentioned it, yes I do have my old monitor!! So you're saying that my old 5" is all I need?

Ivan,

Your old Red One LCD will not work as a menu navigation device. However it will work as a monitor.

To properly navigate the menus you really want the touchscreen LCD or the side handle and the EVF (or old LCD). Basically, you want a way to toggle all the options and see what you are toggling.

In case it helps you, here is a link to the EVF navigation information, but to be honest I would never attempt that with any camera on any job.

Thanks Pete but it seems like like my Epic is a sitting duck until I receive one of these items. I remember you posting that you received a red mote, was that from the stage 3 package or did you buy it separately?

re: RED One #2495
Email received Thursday Feb 2nd
Camera shipped off to RED Friday Feb 3rd
If you'd please fix the spelling of my name on the list while your at it!
Thanks, Paul Mogg

Shipped #2885 to RED today and got the eval email for #574 this morning!

I just don't understand...How you can receive a notification for a 2885 before a #574??? Is it all about the date we received the red one?

So then this Mark guy is just making assumptions?

Ivan, when you said "I don't mind a handicapped Epic but not one in a coma" I interpreted those words to mean can I shoot anything or not? Perhaps because you also said, "Does this mean I can't shoot?"

If you have got your old RED One monitor you can shoot with the EPIC, shooting with default settings... to me that's handicapped... and you DID make a comment about handicapped.

My bad I wasn't clear, I shipped #574 in on Jan. 26 and received the evaluation email for it yesterday. I took delivery of #574 a bit late, around mid April 2008.

Can you tell me when your delivery date was for 2885, I'm 60xx, delivery April 2009 and trying to get an indication of where I would be on the list

I took delivery of #2885 around the end of August 2008.

Red #2984 shipped back to mommy today Feb, 4th after an emotive farewell party with a bunch of photos and hugs and kisses. It's very strange how you can get attached to objects.

It should arrive at Red on monday Feb, 6th.

I packed her like if she would have to land on Mars!!!! I don't trust Fedex! :-)
