Congrats Clayton,

Great work and absolutely beautiful... and congrats to all those who contributed!

Awesome! The underwater epic shots are still my faves, but I love some of the other shots you got, like the hand moving across the swamp water.

How was this not best cinematography???

Yeah right?! Haha...just happy its nominated for something and also up for audience choice but thats up to you guys! Thanks for your contribution Tom, your an inspiration to many friend. Look forward to our collaborations out west.

Absolutely incredible! THe sound design with that imagery is mesmerizing. It kept my 1 year olds attention for the entirety. Almost impossible!

Jeremy, the abortion issue is a highly charged and emotional one, you have stated your position without equivocation or apparent tolerance for other points of view, you are clearly looking for a fight. The mods have acted to keep the peace, please accept that.

This thread is a celebration of Summer and Clay's considerable cinematic accomplishments. Are there not other venues where your message may be received?

Peace my friend, the world turns in mysterious and unusual ways.

Clayton, Summer, and all of the people who made this film possible (including some fellow Redusers) very nice work. It encapsulated a lot of the emotion I feel when I look at the world and the way things are going. I often try to look at the world through my daughter's eyes now as it's far too easy to take things for granted and she is seeing many things for the first time. I often wonder what she will see in her lifetime. Will it be a downward spiral or an eventual awakening? When I look through my eyes, I admittedly see a downward spiral where the end result is a bit depressing. But when I look through her eyes, I see hope and wonder. She already has such a great appreciation for nature and for life itself. What will life on this planet be like for her at my age, what will life be like for her children if she has any? These are things as a parent you can't help but wonder. You want the best for them, you want them to live long, healthy, fulfilling lives. The thought of their world collapsing around them is extremely difficult to come to terms with as a parent.

Thank you for sharing this film. It was beautiful as it was disturbing. Fantastic cinematography as well. Look forward to your future projects.

Hey Steve, well put mate. I imagine for any father its hard to swallow when really mediating on these thoughts. When Summer 1st came to me with the idea and outline I was pretty overwhelmed myself, its all very disturbing. I did not want to make it visually disturbing, quite the opposite...I figured we could say one thing but show another thing that could reflect how life is very precious, short, and filled with beauty and vast amounts of potential. I jumped on the chance to be involved with "eXtinction" and Summer and I have have enjoyed watching this little short film make ripples and kick start the conversations towards sustainable living. Hope all is well with you and your family, thanks for your support and Cheers...to (as you say) living a long, healthy, and fulfilling life. :)

Intolerance to you is anyone who doesn't agree with your opinion. I'm for saving the environment and children, that's all I was saying. Definitely not trying to create a fight. :) To be honest, I'm not sure I would call it a "cinematic accomplishment." Timelapses have been done many times.
