Was a pleasure to participate on your project. I am very happy to see our wildlife and time-lapse photography to be used in such beautiful work.

Christian made a huge contribution to the film, he is responsible for a lot of the nature shots and we are grateful.

As far as I understand it, this is Summer's first professional foray into that most rapacious of meat grinders called Hollywood, there seems quite an array of egos in 'the encampment' willing to bring folks down to their level. Exceedingly difficult to put your entire life's heart and soul into something, then throw it out to the jackals, limb torn from bloody limb, savagely rent from soul. Bravery, courage, is the order of the day; without that, you are surely lost.

That having been said, the artistic accomplishment of this short is far superior to, in my opinion, a whole array, aircraft hangars full even, of pedestrian stuff that does not even approach the mark.

We are here, or so I hope, to encourage artists to go higher, further, faster, deeper; any sustained effort in that direction deserves praise. This effort most certainly does.

Thank you so much for the very vivid reply. We are all happy to report that eXtinction has received the "Best Editing" Award at the Super Shorts 2011 Film Festival in the UK and we are off to a few more film festivals. Again, we couldn't do this without your support. And we hope to create more great art in the near future! In the meantime, I will be babysitting Clay's cat!
