was lcd stuttering fixed?

A friend of mine has a dumb question; Does the side handle still need to be removed when updating firmware?

Hey Jarred, quick question. For these electronic focusing lenses would it be possible to not cycle from close to infinity when starting up the camera? It would be useful and a time saver to not find critical focus between power downs.

Also sent you a PM about something else when you get around to it.

You can leave it on. A little something new I've discovered is the ability to upgrade the Redmote from the camera after upgrade. Haven't done this before and I'm giving it a go right now. Definitely takes longer than hooking directly to the computer, but it's simpler. You have to remove the Redmote as usual for the camera upgrade, but when restarting it, if you've reattached the Redmote, the camera will ask if you want to upgrade it from the camera. That's a welcome relief and hopefully in the future won't take up to 30 minutes.

Terrific! We begin principal photography for "Public Service" on Monday so this is great timing. :)

Cool thanks... I'll tell my friend.

DOH
, I thought "release" build meant official, but this is still a beta.

Still beta? :(

Jarred,

How are we looking for a "Flop" option on the Red LCDs? A quick 180 flip would be so nice. Is this a feature we will see in the near future? Keep up the good work, thanks.
