  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC Reservations Begin...

Now that is EPIC news! I wish I had the cash for stage 2. Now if all of you "stage 2ers" could hurry up and get your camera so that us "stage 3ers" could form a line in the back ...
 
Way to go Red Team! Someone remind me whether Stage 2 takes delivery before Stage 3? That will impact some decisions... looks that way from the previous post.

EDIT: Confirmed in the original announcement. Ugh, decisions, decisions!
 
Ok, I have personally checked every single person who PM'ed me with login issues and it looks like everything is resolved. Everyone should be able to order at will. Some key reminders I do not want lost in the shuffle of all the posts. These will help you order more smoothly (we learned some lessons along the way tonight, haha):
* If you do not get an order confirmation, your order is not complete.
* You MUST check the check box to the right of the listed camera serial numbers to have them be put as executed for Stage 2. If you check nothing, you will see an empty shopping cart.
* Login with the same email and password that you would use to place an order or download from support site. NOT you REDUSER handle or name.
* Needless to say, our server is getting hammered right now with transactions. If you timeout during the transaction, your deposit order might be cached in the cart. If you submit again, you will add incremental deposits to your cart. Make sure the number of stated deposits in cart matches how many cameras you are doing. If you try to check out with 2 deposits for one camera, it will be kicked out of our reservation system.
* Once the orders slow down today, I will blast all owners eligible for Stage 2. So, you will get an email as well later.
* You have till June 1 to pay your deposit total. In the cart you can pay by credit card now, or pay by wire transfer up until June 1.
* Stage 2 deliveries will be based on RED ONE delivery date, not order date.

Hope this all helps. I was going to go to bed for the first time in over 24 hours - but who can sleep? We are talking freaking Stage 2 here!

Basing my decision on being able to use Canon lenses.

As awesome as the Birger Canon mount is, I had my RED One way too long before I was able to use it, due to the Birger delays.
 
guys let me see if i have understood it right:

basically there is time until may 1st to decide to reserve or not,
Than after may 1st red will ship the cameras (when it will be ready off course ) respecting the RED ONE delivery serial number order for those who have reserved the epic before may 1st ....so not actually following the list of people that starts reserving from today to may first...

and after may first the reserved list will became not any longer based on RED ONE serial number priority...

is this correct?

Yes, Stage 2 EPIC-X will be delivered by RED ONE delivery date.
